Why does Turismo Bergamo Hotels ask for credit card details?
Credit card details are requested to guarantee the reservation in the event of a no-show or a late cancellation. The hotel is allowed to charge for a no-show (usually the cost of the first night). Like most websites, Turismo Bergamo Hotels places a Eur 0.05 authorization hold to verify that your credit card is valid and active when you complete your booking process. The authorization request can place a temporary hold of Eur 0.05 on the available funds in your credit card account.When you check your bank account or credit card statement, payment authorizations are often listed as "pending." These transactions might remain in your account between 1-14 business days, depending on your card-issuing bank.
This is not an actual charge and the bank will remove the hold.
